Probably the best anime i have ever seen. Had me cring the whole last episode but still gave me hope that everyone was able to live their life to the fullest. I hope they make an OVA or something but if not, I can at least make one in my dreams ^_^

Very satisfying ending. It does not have the awkward feeling of the 2003 anime, even the movie that ties everything together is fairly sad.
At least here, everyone accomplishing something but it is not completely ideal and deluded. As Ed said, one cannot gain something without sacrificing something.
Ultimately, I am glad that people are not really complaining about the ending. The bothersome thing is that all good things must come to an end and an ending can never be totally satisfying and perfect. The author/creator and reader/viewer must arrive at an “equilibrium” in which they are both okay and happy about the ending.

@42 this isn’t a continueation of Fullmetal Alchemist it is a remake with a different writer and artist
i cant understand something, the fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is the continue of this, but there doesnt show that edward went to the other world, it is as if it shows it with a diferent story :/ can anyone pls explain? i saw till episode 12 and it doesnt show anything that hapened at the last episode of “Fullmetal alchemist”.
