I follow the manga. Homura starts off as a guy..but because he is a prototype Sekirei, his body reacts to the Ashikabi. Because Minato is a man, Homura goes through a transformation to be a match for Minato. ths making his body mutate to a woman’s. Hope that clearified some stuff
